Lombardi Committee Recognizes Beal

Norman, OK--The University of Oklahoma Athletic Department sent out another release today concerning candidates for major college football awards. The Lombardi Trophy committee has named Oklahoma junior defensive end Jeremy Beal as one of the top candidates for the honor. Beal currently sits in second place in polls of known voters for the award. Beal has recorded 45 tackles on the season with 17 of them for a loss. He has 12 sacks and one forced fumble through the Nebraska game last week.
