Slingin' Sammy Returns for Senior Season

Norman, OK--It what must count as "Breaking News", the University of Oklahoma held a press conference today for a mystery announcement. No one was told about what the presser was for but when Sam Bradford entered from stage left most assumed it was his announcement telling us all what we already knew, that he'd be giving up his last season of eligibility to enter the NFL Draft. Instead, jaws dropped when he announced he would come back to OU for his senior season. He said he couldn't leave Oklahoma having missed half of his last season and wanted to go out and try to win Oklahoma it's eighth national championship and the fifth Big XII conference championship in his five years on the Norman campus.

Most NFL Draft pundits had Bradford as the number one quarterback in the draft and number one selection overall, the same as they had him after his sophomore season.

Bradford returns to a whole new backfield as Chris Brown graduates and DeMarco Murray has left for the NFL. He returns his main receiver in Ryan Broyles and loses a ton of senior leadership all over the team.

  1. Bradford can't be Slingin' Sammy. No one will EVER be as good as Sammy Baugh. ;)
