Red Raiders Shoot Blanks in Norman, 45-21

Norman, OK--Not many teams can say they have traveled to Norman, OK and came away with a win, esp. in the Bob Stoops and Coach JHeb eras. The teams that have accomplished the feat can be named on one hand. TCU ('05), Oklahoma State ('01 & '09), Colorado ('10). If you're looking to add another team to the list, it won't be today. Oklahoma blasted Texas Tech by a final score of 45-21.A scoreless first quarter was a boring beginning to what would turn out to be three quarters of scoring football. The fans would be treated to 65 points over the next three quarters and saw the Sooners own the 2nd and 3rd quarters, as they scored 35 points in that time comparted to Tech's 7. Tech and OU would both score 14 more in the 4th. This was never a ball game, as most never are on Owen Field. The Players of the Game were: R.J. Washington (DE, Oklahoma) who had 5 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss and 3 sacks. For Tech it was J. Franks who had 7 catches for 146 yards and one TD.

Game Notes:

The teams combined for 13 turnovers. Texas Tech had 8 (4 INT's, 4 Fumbles Lost) while OU had 3 (INT's). Sam Bradford threw for 361 yards with 4 TD's but also had 3 INT's. Tech's Potts threw for 337 with 2 TD's but had 4 INT's.
