Sooners Hand #9 Kansas First Loss

Lawrence, KS--University of Kansas quarterback star Todd Reesing had to miss today's game against OU due to a pulled hamstring. After watching his redshirt freshman back-up try to deal with the Sooner defense, he likely wishes he would have tried to play anyway, because Kale Pick (#7) didn't have a whole lot of luck against the mighty Sooners. Pick completed only 47% of his passes (19-40-267-2TD-2INT, 8 rushes for 12 yards & 0 TD's). As seen in the picture above, Pick was pressured all day by Sooner defenders (above, LB Ryan Reynolds, DT Gerald McCoy and LB Travis Lewis get pressure that leads to a Lewis INT).

Sooner QB Sam Bradford was named the Player of the Game for his squad after going 25-43 for 389 yards and 2 TD's with 1 interception. Sooner Heisman candidate DeMarco Murray (above) never really got going on the day. He carried the ball 14 times for 19 yards and 1 touchdown. Murray also hauled in 2 receptions for 21 yards and another TD. He was injured later in the game (strained shoulder) and will likely miss next week's game against Kansas State.
