Sooners Earn Bowl Bid

After a season of many highs and lows, the Oklahoma Sooners have earned and accepted a bid to play in the Holiday Bowl (presented by Pacific Life Insurance) on December 30th, 2010 at 8pm (Pacific) in San Diego, CA. The Sooners finished 4th in the Big XII for the 2010 season and played Nebraska in the Big XII Championship on December11th (L, 30-35). Joining the Sooners in San Diego will be the #2 team from the Pac-10, the Oregon Ducks. Oregon finished ranked #11 in the country with only two losses (Cal, @ Arizona). The Sooners will be looking to break a string of poor bowl performances that goes back to early in the decade.
